Grade 3 Lesson 12: The Little Prince
« on: November 15, 2010, 02:53:30 pm »
So, I started this today but didn't really look into it too deeply until about 20 minutes before my class started... BIG MISTAKE.  There isn't really a lot for this lesson so I put together a powerpoint quickly and had them watch The Giving Tree for the last 10 minutes.  It made things go by a little faster.  Just make sure to look up some info about the books so you can explain their content a little bit. So, here you go...

I added some other books in my powerpoint (ones kids might actually be familiar with). Then I had them choose a story they know and tell me the plot, setting, characters, and topic (theme). You could also have them make up their own stories in groups and share with the class.

Hey, I have a super review week so I've put these together last night that I hope you'll all be able to use and enjoy.  These are reviews for lessons 10-12.  There are some dialogue parts in there and you can read them or just let your students fill in the blanks, up to you.  Also, some comparative and superlative reviews.
