Best Acne Cream?
« on: October 20, 2011, 05:37:32 pm »
Does anyone know the best acne cream available in Korea?  I love Clearsil (10% Benzoyl Peroxide) cream in the US.  Amazon doesn't ship it internationally :(  Where I can find something equally powerful?

FYI, I'm a guy, but I have no problem going to Etude House or some other cosmetic shop if that's were the good stuff is.

Lol there's absolutely no shame in visiting those cosmetic shops. Haven't you ever wondered why even the Korean boys have such nice skin? Everyone uses those well-known brands!
Not sure about cream, but I'm a guy and currently still using the Shiseido line of cleansers. I have been meaning to try the Laneige products for some time though.. As mine is about to run out  :-X

I use a brand called 티티배 in Korean. It works excellent, but you need a prescription for it. You can get it from any dermatologist (피부과 in Korean). The prescription costs 3,500 won, and the tube of cream itself costs around 4,000. Sounds like trouble but totally worth it.

While not an Acne cream, see if you can find cetaphil face wash in a face/skin store. It is really effevtive.

OK, for future reference, here is the closest thing to Clearisil I could find.  It is called "Brevoxyl'.  It is 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, whereas Clearisil is 10%.  It's a little watery, but it seems to do the job.  Not all drugstores carry it, so you have to ask around.   It can be a little pricey....8,500 - 10,000 won.  A tube lasts me about 2 weeks.
