"You're Welcome" Bomb Game
« on: October 25, 2010, 09:41:13 am »
Here is a game about replying when someone says thanks you.

It is meant to practice the phrases:

Don't mention it.
No problem.
Any time.
You're welcome.
My pleasure.

The students are shown a picture and a sentence eg "Thanks for the car."

They then have to say the phrase underneath the picture eg "You're welcome."

Getting the group to countdown with "Hana, Dul, Set" works well to get the whole group to speak.

Hey,

Just a couple of things.  On this template, make sure to move pictures 'to back' on slides with bombs.  This will give it the full effect.

Also, I think there's probably a thread for this lesson already.  More people will see the game if you post it there.

Great work!

Thanks for sharing this. I have a class of extremely low level middle school students who will benefit from this practice.
