I checked charts. Don't see that song on there.
Uhh do you understand the context?

Some current selections:

3 from an interesting UK Musician/Arranger/DJ/Producer named Andrew Weatherall...I regret to say he died just over a month ago, and it is really a shame, as I only recently discovered his work and am enjoying it immensely...!

Thanks TG, always love making my way through your recommendations.

One of my favourite thrash metal bands made a spoken word zombie story on their last album (2006) and it's creepy to listen to it now with what's happening in the world.  Worth a listen if you have a spare ten minutes!

Andrew Weatherall's death is a huge loss to music. I hate using hyperbole like this, but his NTS show was one of the best things on the internet. I know several people who knew him personally and by all accounts he was a great guy. Very sad.

https://www.nts.live/shows/andrewweatherall

One of my favorite weird little Weatherall stories happened when a friend of mine randomly spotted him on Google Street View. Weatherall later confirmed that it was him.

I used to listen to this mix all the time during my first year at university. It's definitely of its time (1996) but it holds up surprisingly well.

You are all too late to the Andrew Weatherall mourning party....  The amazing thing about him was he had his hand in everything genre-wise... so he appealed to everyone in some way.  I was more into the downbeat/techno side of things...

RIP Andy Weatherall, so many great tracks he had a hand in.  Only good stories about him.  Will be missed.

As Two lone Swordsmen

For Primal Scream fans, he was the producer of Screamadelica

Whoops, you're right, Ronnie. Still, more Weatherall love can never be a bad thing.

We've already lost a lot of good people this year, with many more (presumably) on the way. Andy Gill, Genesis P-Orridge, Gabi Delgado-Lopez of DAF, Bill Rieflin of Ministry / Revolting Cocks / Swans and, just yesterday, Cristina.

Always time for some Boards of Canada... new to me this track...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPzlA--Ih-A

Then there is the one that was getting a lot of play time when I was younger.  Orange!

Oglop, funny what you were saying about Radiohead.  Whenever I think of them, it's always in a brilliant way.  From Pablo Honey up to Kid A, they didn't put a foot wrong.  And also when we used to buy albums for other bands or groups, you'd get a few brilliant songs and then skip the rest.  But with Radiohead, almost all of it was good.  OK Computer being the perfect example.

I will put them just below the Aphex Twin, for sheer groundbreaking brilliance in the 90s.  But Radiohead did their fair share of groundbreaking....a nd The Prodigy....

He's done too many to post them all...

I really loved Low's "Half Light". It was slow, haunting, and creepy -- a perfect fit for "The Mothman Prophesies" in which it appeared (a pretty cool movie, btw).

I recently stumbled across another of their songs - Congregation - from an episode of "Devs" and it shared a similar vibe.  Might have to check out more of the band's work, as the 2 songs I know are fantastic!

Maybe it's because I'm working so much out of home for my uni classes these days (although we are supposed to actually go back to actual classroom instruction on May 4th...I'll wait and see, tho'), but I needed to go off on a couple of old musical tangents just for something different.

I am still acquiring new music (downloading some brand new Jazz as I type...), but am really enjoying digging into my Prog. vaults and am on a Canterbury Scene binge right now: these are three of my all time favourites (after CARAVAN...) and my oh my - they sound GOOD...!

(This album is one of my top 'Desert Island Discs'...!)

It's more like a poem set to a few chords (welcome to Dylan) but it's Dylan's first Billboard #1 ever!
