Day 5 of keto. Every lunch is 3 eggs, steamed broccoli, some homemade tomota sauce (literally just 1:30 boiled tomato reduction/no sugar) and half an avocado.

Dinner is more expensive. Chowed down on 300g of chicken thigh on Tues, and some Aussie steak on Wed. Yday was some Edam cheese and Genoa salami. Each night I have some frozen blueberries and some pomegranate.

Came into work today. The whole office. "Kevin, you look slimmer. You look good. What's your secret?"

Being miserable and hungry. hahahahaha  Whatevs. Suffering isn't a big deal. I'm 36, I know pain. At our age we've all been through some shit, so eating boring food for a couple of weeks is no biggie. 9 more days!

Also, worked out 3 of those days, too. Just weights. FIGHTING.
The first thing to say is that this is definitely not pyramid selling, OK?

Of Keto. And then? Just eat more consciously. I know of the yoyoing that can occur after a massive keto diet thing, so I'm trying to ease back in. Brown rice, lentils and not a lot. The goals for this year are makgeolli mastery, beer tasting mastery and getting my health back in order.

Yes, the beer mastery is at odds with the third one, on first glance, but this isn't about asceticism, this is about healthier choices. Drinking beer is not anathema to my health goals, necessarily.

Sat 22nd I'm going to do a proper beer evaluation session with a couple of beer buds, so I'm gonna eat more balanced stuff Fri night, Sat morn/Lunch.

Oh, good job sticking with it. Keto sounds rough which is mostly why I haven't tried it yet tbh (even though I maybe should). Just going the traditional route of cutting out snacking and soda/fast food for now, although I am trying to introduce more chicken breast/steak into my died over sandwiches.

strength training's also tough, hardest part of my day is getting home and hopping straight on it instead of letting myself procrastinate for like an hour or two beforehand

do it before work
ive considered that a lot but that'd require waking up earlier than i already do, and considering how much i had to fight myself just to get the semi-reasonable sleep schedule im at now idk if thats happening. honestly doing it after work is sorta nice since it works off the excess energy i get from sitting around all day, only issue is just im a chronic procrastinator

Yeah, keto is rough. I know people who do it year-round even though it's not good for you to do it longterm, lol.

It's definitely a good way to help reset your metabolism, though, as long as you maintain a healthy diet and level of activity after ending it.
