Hi. Quick Question. Just wandering how long does immigration hold onto your passport when applying for ARC. Do they hand it back with ARC or later?

They don't wander far. They generally stay behind the desk in the immigration office, and will give all documents together, just in case you are wondering.

When I got my ARC for the first time they kept my passport for one week and it was mailed back to my school along with my ARC card.
When extending it for another year immigration doesn't keep your passport they just look at it and stamp the back of your ARC with your new expiration date.
Hope this helps!

Ask them to put a new sticker in your passport as well, they don't do it unless you ask, saves problems with airlines later

What has been the wait to receiving your ARC? I've been told it's 10-14 days. Also, how much does it cost? I've been getting conflicting answers.

My ARC took 1 week to process, the passport comes back with the ARC and I think it cost 30 000 won.
To renew, they don't hold the passport - just look at it and stamp it - and it costs 30 000 won to renew the ARC.
