I did this lesson with my 2nd graders because it corresponded with their book.  Students have to copy the recipe onto the worksheet and draw what it looks like.  I created 6 different recipes that each have 5 simple steps.  Part of it is practicing transitional words such as: First, next, then, finally.  You can edit these however you want.  I assessed the students by watching them draw the correct pictures.  You can let the students decide which recipes they want.  Some students work better alone, some better with a partner...I let my students decide this.  Also, they should write the kitchenware and ingredients that are needed.  I introduced this lesson with my own example--on the powerpoint. This lesson was fun for the students and simple to teach!  Enjoy!
