Running - 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon

I have been distinctly lacking in motivation to run lately, and so have been trying to find information about 5-10k races in the area to give me a little bit of a push.
Seoul Synergy
, a running/triathlon group in Seoul is a good English resource, but their main race calendar ended in July.
I had a co-teacher help find info, and there is a 5k,10k, and 1/2 marathon race in Suncheon on November 12th. The site is in Korean, but is available here:
http://www.scmarathon.or.kr/
. I'm signing up for the 5k, and would love it if others would like to join me!
Also, if you have any information about running groups/races/great places to run in Jeollanamdo, I'd love to hear about it!
ETA: I needed the help of my co-teacher to register on-line - my alien number wasn't accepted on the website, so he entered his ID # and then called to change it to mine.

My co-teacher says that registration is free for foreigners.

Hey anyone interested in the race on the 12th of November in Suncheon,
I found out the info about the race today. It starts at 9:30 at Palma Stadium in Suncheon. The 5km race will begin at 10:20. You need your partner teacher's id number to register. Your alien card will not work. The cost is 5000W. You need to send this money to Park So Jang. Her account is at Nong Hyup Bank(박 소 정 at 농협 은행) , Send it to the account number 637-12-470980 by Friday to enter.
Hope to see a few there

Arsalan - from what my co-teacher said the other day, regular registration closes on the 20th. I'm sure you would be able to register after that, but it didn't talk long on-line once we realized that my alien # didn't work. A co-teacher at the school entered his, I gave him the 5000w, he used his bank #, then called to change the ID# to mine.
Chris - You probably won't be far behind - I'm WAY slow :)
I'd like to find a list of races for early next year, so if anyone comes across anything (even if it is in Korean - I can find a translator and/or pick my way through in my kindergartner-level Korean) please let me know!
Look forward to seeing some of you there!
Oh, and for folks who are interested but don't think they are ready for a 5k yet, I found the
Couch to 5k
program really wonderful. If you have any questions about it, let me know! I loved it, and think it is a smart way to start running.

Well, I signed up for the 10k run. I paid the 25,000won registration fee at a bank machine, but I am not sure how I am supposed to confirm things with them.
My co-teacher used her info, and my name to register. I then placed the payment from my bank account. Am I supposed to get an e-mail confirming everything, or am I simply to bring the bank receipt with me to Suncheon?

Hey Arsalan,
When I signed up, there was no confirmation email or anything. I am supposed to just show up as far as I know. You can have your coteacher check, but you can probably just show up. You might not even need your receipt but it is good to have anyway. Goodluck in the 10 km, if I had a little more time to prepare I would have chosen that one also. Maybe in the spring. See you then.

No comfirmation email for me, either. I think there should be a pretty good group of us there, though as far as i know mostly for the 5k, so there should be a bunch of us to meet you at the end!
I'm still looking for races in the spring, so if anyone comes across a good source, let me know!

We should all meet beforehand? I am in Yeong-Gwang, so I'll be looking around for a hotel or a place to stay, if anyone wants to share a hotel room let me know. :)
