Gobble-Gobble!
This is a simple Thanksgiving theme game that you can use to review vocabulary, phrase or sentence. I created this game to help my students recognize words and practice writing but you can use it however way you like. I recommend using the same vocabulary you teach and add those into the game. I have included instructions on how you can edit the game for your own class on the 1st slide. On slide 15 is the speaking game. How it works:
-Tell the students that they will have 20 seconds to choose a word and write it down.
-Click on the turkey (on the bottom of the slide) to start the game.
-When the timer runs out, Mr.Gobble will steal one of the pie. If the students pie is safe, they can get (1 Point)
-You can keep track of their points on the white board or they can write it one their own paper.
-At the end, tally their points to see who survived Mr. Gobble.
Extra Note: A nice reward - You can give them a stamp on their paper or give a small sticker as a prize. I usually try to find something Autumn related as a prize.
