Searching for a ropes course
« on: May 26, 2011, 08:42:38 am »
By ropes course I mean activity course led by a guide or two in which you and a group of people combat obstacles together using brainstorming, teamwork, communication, trust, etc.  Think less X-Men danger room and more uh...team building.  Okay, not the best description but if it helps, these courses often include a "trust fall" where one person falls backwards and everyone else catches them, and more often than not there is a zip line.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?  Or better yet, where one of these is?

Not sure if this is going to help much. I was camping and climbing about a month ago in 작성산 (Jak Seong San). It's halfway between 제천 (Jecheon) and 단양 (Danyang). At the entrance to the park (at the open area in the link above), they were building this awesome rope-assault course. It had climbing walls, rope bridges, slides etc. It was probably about 15m high and pretty big. I was there Saturday night and Sunday, so there was nobody around to ask about it, but it was pretty close to completion. If you have a Korean friend, maybe they can help you search for more details about this.

I've also heard there's a zip line on one of the beaches in 강릉 (Gangneung), but again I don't have any details.

OP, I know exactly what you mean... but unfortunately I haven't heard of one in Korea. If you happen to find one, could you PM me?  I would love to set up English team building workshops if I can find on in the future.

If I hear of one, I'll let ya know. :)

I heard ages ago there was a huge rope course park in Deagu called Herbz Hill or Herb Hillz or something like that.
May want to look into that.

went to Herb Hillz in Daegu and they offer various levels of obstacle courses. I admit some courses were downright scary but nonetheless fun. It targets at individuals as opposed to team building though.
