Remember Billy, a knight on the rim is very dim.

I remember my chess team days. Those were fun. The most I've done recently is skim a Silman book and watch the occasional youtube video.

A knight in a room with dim light at night with a hooker will get his ass kicked even if he is hung like a horse.

Anyway, Van, you want to let them watch or not? I have nothing against it.
Do it if you are so inclined.

Come on guys. What takes you so long to make a move? Are you jerking off all day long? With both hands? No spare hand to even make a move in the game right?

Alright, alright, I'll try to get on with it. Maybe I should play hangook77 next. He finishes quickly.

I have asked both VanIslander and BillyHerringtonChin a for a slow bullet game (defined as one minute per player for all moves, with one second added to each player for every move). I have a slightly low bullet rating of 2349 and a middling blitz rating of 2189, so let us see if either is receptive. (LIChess Username: Pizzahorse)

Those games give about 90 seconds to play, and are won mostly by those who can simply avoid checkmate and await the opponents' clock to end.

It's reactive rather than strategic. Thinking at least 5 moves ahead is impossible except in terms of canned scripts, recycled sets of tactics more akin to dodgeball than military planning.

No thanks.

A 20-minute game I'd be up for, which is traditionally fast for two good chess players.

Well, a big mistake has just been made.
BH checked my king with his queen and my bishop took his queen. His only safe move would have been to b5, since my knight forced the queen move to begin with (to get my second pawn advantage). If he had made the only safe option, i would have pressed to exchange queens because i had gotten his rook in exchange for my bishop, meaning, he would be left with two bishops to my two rooks, incentivizing me to press exchanges of knights to play out the double pawn advantage and the rook advantage, a herculean lead heading into the end game.

Good game, Van.
GG.

Nice to see you try for a draw. It happens.
At least you make me work to mate.

Online players too often simply leave when down a few pieces.

i do that pretty often. not because i don't want to play it out or anything, but if you're unlikely to win its more efficient to just go another game if your end goal is gaining rank

But at least click "draw" first, out of respect for the game.

It crossed my mind to lose all my pieces and force a stalemate but I thought you'd be wise to it.
