Say What, Israel?

Conservative lawmakers in Israel are supporting a bill that would make it illegal to spread the word of Jesus within the country. If an evangelist converts a Jew to Christianity, he will face a year in jail. If the convert is a minor, then it's two years in prison.

Luckily, it's only a bill and not a law. Let's hope it stays that way. This is yet another attack on free speech by a supposedly democratic nation.

what a great way to to try end that particular religion. hopefully this spreads to include all others, in every place.  like the no more cigarettes thing in new zealand. if people born after a certain age cant ever buy cigarettes, then they wont be harmed by them.  similarly, if there is no new proselytizing, millions would be saved from abuses, sexual assault, and indoctrination.  good for the goose, good for the gander

But nobody is forcing you to follow the bible. You can do what you want because you live in a free country. Other people who disagree with you should be left alone, too. You are simply swapping one religion for another.
