No matter who you are your days are numbered. It's best to get an exit plan now and avoid being the 50 and older crowd in China. In the early days it was easier to transition to a University job . Even with just a BA. Or you can just wait until your inheritance comes in.

I notice a general theme of negativity from your posts.  Almost Hangook77ish.  I can't recall any of your posts from more than a few weeks ago but you are at over a thousand posts. Were you always such a downer?

A brutal realist about what?  Pretty sure no one entered the EPIK program expecting a career.  I work a job with good hours in a good area.  Most of my students are good and I get very little hassle from my co-teachers.  Actually, I have a NET (pun intended) positive relationship with all the teachers I have worked with.  I save money every month year after year and when it ends, it ends.  In fact, I am very likely to pull the plug first.

Haha...like this newbie I had the misfortune to be introduced to, a while back. Swore that 안녕하세요 was 'a-narse-seo', and wouldn't budge. Been here a week.

this is sometimes true i guess. personally i feel that any job you have to renew yearly for probably isn't one worth trying to retire on, but to each their own
