Is GEPIK still going?

 I was originally hired through EPIK.  eventually my job became known as GEPIK. But it was still the same contract and location. Eventially my school funding was cut. So I went to China for two years. After I returned I landed a sweet gig with GEPIK. eventually I was told to stay I needed to transfer to EPIK. which was a beaurocratic nightmare. I was just wondering if there are any GEPIK positions left? The last one I snagged was through a recruiter called Scott Jung.

The last GEPIK position I had was in 2011.  I think the last GEPIK+ training/seminar/ping pong practice event I had to attend for two nights/three days in Yangpyeong was 2012.  I know GEPIK stopped funding my school and it got picked up by city hall.  I went from being paid on the 25th to the 17th and have never had to attend anymore of those training events and have never had to hold or attend an open class since then. 

I think my first position in Korea was with GEPIK, that would've been around 2015-ish, but I think it got absorbed into EPIK a couple years later.

 The beginning of the end was during a weekend in which one of the hotel rooms got completely trashed during a workshop. Apparently a drunken gang with a fire extinguisher. The hotel damages were completely paid for by the POE and the teachers who were caught on video were able to finish their contracts and were not charged any money. A few years later the purge began to get rid of GEPIK. Too many Korean American   Coordinators were posting pictures of their weekend drunk nights out online. Eventially they stopped direct hires. With only a handful of positions still left in deep countryside. Resulting in Masters degree and and highly experienced teachers fighting over a job in Paju. It might still be on life support. All I know is Suwon office of education don't like when foreign teachers drop in looking for a job. They would rather just give you the number to Korvia or any of the other half dozen recruiters they use than take a chance on a direct hire. I was just wondering whether officially the program was given the axe.
