I'll say this, hankook, you got a pretty dope ride.
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They’d probably put my head in a guillotine

Thanks.  Nothing better than getting on the open road.

(But note to self, go out after 3:30 or 4 pm.  Otherwise, the heat will punch you in the face.  Getting hot now (though thankfully not humid yet.)

Good weather overall for riding.

Weekend ride.

What do you keep in the bags? Big enough for a change of clothes? If you do multiple day rides, where do you stay?

Not that big.  I keep a bigger automatic camera for better pics than my phone, a pb and j sandwich, an extra drink, my phone, cloth for wiping sweat, etc.  A friend said he felt it made my bike heavier, though.  I think he's right.  I usually just ride for one day.  In this case, I put the bike in the back of my car and went to my old more rural country town.

You should come to China. My friends and I have a cycling gang. We go on long trips to some exotic places. Sometimes we even hire a van to take us. You have a Giant so you're basically Chinese already. You'd be welcomed with open arms.

How many kms do you clock up on a ride? All that stuff is definitely weighing you down. But if you're not riding for time then it doesn't really matter. Take it easy and enjoy at your own pace.

Those bags aren't that heavy on their own, and if you drink the water and eat the food the weight diminishes over time.

Somewhere between Suncheon to Gimhae.

But that does give me the idea to go up to Gokseong.  (Place with the train village?)  They have this river valley that I drove through once which is quite nice.

I generally do.  Guess I am use to it and built up my own stamina.  Though the dudes on speed bikes road bikes and decked out in the gear pass me.  But I still go decent pace.  I have done 20 to 70 km rides depending on the days.  Usually inbetween.  I am not really a multiday go for extended rides type.

I did around 100km in one night when I was younger. I couldn't walk the next day. To this day I have absolutely no recollection of making it home, either.

Oh I have done those days when I was younger in Canada.  Easily 80km to 105ish.  I even biked an all day trip.  Maybe 8 or 9 hours round trip from one province to another and back again.  I was sore for a couple of days with that one.  Hurt to walk.  I keep it lower here I guess.  I dislike the weather here at certain times of the year.  But much higher hills and mountains than back home.  So, build up that strength I guess.
