Are there any decent folding bikes with internal gear hubs? After using one for the last six months I don't want to go back to using a derailer.

Thanks. I'll look into it. I wonder if any of them use Shinmano hubs. Those are the most common ones in China and the easiest to replace.

Too bad hangook77 isn't here to tell us about his Giant. 8)

Much more difficult to deal with a puncture at the back with internal gear hubs. It’s best to pair the internal hub with tubeless tires.

Looks good.

Is your bike dirty because you rarely wash it or because of riding in the rain? If the latter, you might get a rear fender.

I notice you have two lights in the front and none in the back (although you have the yellow tape). Do you have a rear light that attaches to your helmet?

The way your grips, saddle and gumwall tires coordinate looks nice.

I just never wash the bike. I usually clip a rear light to my clothes somewhere. I just had no place to put it on the bike until now that I have the rack. I actually got the idea for the reflective tape from my friend's helmet. He has a rear light built into his, so I bought the tape for my helmet and just kinda went crazy with it.

Got a tail light for the rear. It takes two AAA batteries. That brings me up to:

One xds 公路单车 (literally "highway bike")
Two headlights
One tail light
One rear rack
One saddle bag
Reflective tape

I could feasibly go on a trip to anywhere in Eastern China with this set-up. Xinjiang or Inner Mongolian would be a bit of a stretch, though.

Brand new Honda CRF 300L. I took the decal package off and ordered a Red Bull set that will arrive in a couple of days. Match my helmet.

Upgraded tires, chain and sprockets, top of the line Ohlins shock and front springs with adjustable tension for dirt or road, upgraded complete FMF exhaust system, upgraded lights, handlebars, grips, foot pegs and engine protection stuff plus some things to make it look pretty!

There are 7 of us in our little CRF club and we are all teachers. I have 2 months summer holidays coming up, mid-June to mid-August. We are heading out into the jungle for a long ride. At least 2-3 weeks I expect.

I'm kitted out with motocross gloves, boots, pants and jacket.

On the one hand, I started this thread for pictures of bicycles :undecided: On the other hand, this thread was born from a debate about the definition of the word "cyclist" so I won't object

Looks good! I prefer rechargeable lights, but the battery ones are definitely more affordable.

Thanks, gogators! I would have bought a rechargable one but I couldn't find one that could be bolted to the rack.

its beautiful.

I had a Suzuki DRZ 400cc in Korea.   i live next to a beautiful mountain road that lead anywhere you wanted. It linked up with amazing valley trails of all skill levels.  Had a set of enduro tires as well as off road tires that could easily be swapped out.  I loved that thing.  Had to sell it because I had too little time. Also had a Yamaha 250 for a while, but smashed into a chain that was crossing a path that nearly decapitated me. It basically took apart the whole front end of that bike.

I knew you boys would like that.  It actually came up as an ad in my browser ironically enough which made me share it.

Hope you all got some good biking in this spring.  I got some good days in though a bit hot like a biatch.  I feel like I never get enough in.  But getting some in better than nothing.

Remember stay off the sides of busy roads in cities, your life will thank you.

Took a ride from my home to the French Concession. My friend has a Birdy. Check it out. We're both proud members of the Shanghai Tacticool Cyclevangelist Elite.
