Even better to not to have to be in the loop at all because you've given yourself a half day off.

But if it came out of your vacation days and isn't actually an extra day off, then it's irrelevant.  I can sign out on the attendance sheet the same way.  (But it's very different from years ago when the schools just let you leave without any big deal.)

Except, if you know NEIS, there are plenty of other ways you can sign out that don't use up your vacation days. I'm using a pretty um, ethically-flexible example, but there are a lot of other reasons why knowing NEIS is to your advantage.
For example (in addition to the ones I've mentioned previously) never having to worry about your multi-school bonus not being counted.

(Though those online IQ tests are not fully scientific, I guess I won't fully read into all those 125 to 135 scores I have ranged in.  Last one was 130.)

It's these kind of statements that ensures no one will add you to an ignore list.  It's gold and you don't even know it.

If they never paid me, I'd call the education office and tell them to pay it, then they pay it.

Only when you notice. And why go through a middle man? It's a *lot* more effort than just getting it right the first time.

Not sure how you wouldn't notice your pay being deposited?  If it says gyo yuk cheong and the pay is less than other months, I call them up and ask them to fix it.

Some people just like being more independent, I guess.
