Desperate to cancel this subscription

I am at a loss. I am unable to turn off the recurrent payment for this site (it shows as inactive on my paypal, but is still being deducted each month. I get emails and the transaction debit on my bank account, but not when I log into my paypal. Its messed up) and I have emailed Arslan about it. He said he will sort it out, but it's come off again. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? The only way I see from my banking side would be declaring it as fraud..... please give any suggestions as I really don't want to go that route.

I recommend you declare it as fraud.  The subscription trap model should be labeled as such.  SO many people have had the exact same issue.  It how this website is run.  Who knows how many unknown people they've been stealing from for so long.

I agree, declare it as fraud. Don't feel bad about it.  You've done what you reasonably could, they're still taking money from you despite you making it clear that you want to cancel, so it's time to take the next step.

Thanks. I guess I will have to. I did contact him via email, and through messages here, since early January. And nothing has been done. I have gone through my paypal account countless times. I have no way to turn it off there. I have all emails saved and screenshots. Hopefully it works.

Update. Nothing has happened. Unfortunately South Africa has even just recently been greylisted by the FATF for being unable to comply witb international standards against the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing etc. I have had no reponse from my bank with regards to reporting the transaction. Without a way to directly contact someone at paypal, once again I am stuck in this stupid situation with Arsalan ignoring contact.  What am I supposed to do? Please someone help me.

Jesus Roxy. This is unbelievable. Spam every mod with your problem, maybe then somebody will be able to get through to Arsalan. It's a warning for anyone wanting to pay a subscription fee to access materials...don't do it!

If paypal refuses to turn off reoccuring payments, and the sysadmin isn't responding, the only 2 things I can see that might work would be:

A) declare the transactions as fraud: any service that you no longer use that you can't turn off when you are no longer using it is essentially just that.
B) De-couple your paypal account from your bank account and set it up with another. This is probably a huge pain in the butt, but so is paying for something you dont use.

I'm really sorry that this is happening. I wish I could do something more, but I'll pm Arsalan as well, and hopefully he'll see one of the messages.

So it seems like you weren't able to report fraud to PayPal? It would be good if other people were able to report this website as a subscription trap scam, though I suppose PayPal will need to reference specific transactions, so they'll probably only listen to customers who've tried to cancel and been put through this rigmarole (of which there are many). PayPal would be well within the bounds of reason to blacklist this site, given how many people have had exactly the same problem.

I know you say you weren't getting any help from your bank's side, but have you tried with paypal?

I guess as a last resort, remove your bank account from PayPal for a while and then add it back later, see if that helps.

you can call 118 to report a cyber crime.

Did you remove the recurring charge from Paypal?  That is where you are suppose to cancel the auto billing.  Then next period you won't be billed.
