The zoo says it’s investigating how the bear, a 5-year-old named Jonny, managed to get out of the non-public-facing part of his enclosure and have “an encounter” with a keeper. That person was rushed to hospital and is expected to recover. "

And I thought black bears were the hippies of the bear world...you know, peace love and vegetarianism. Or so I got told. Maybe it's just the Vancouver variety.

But in your better class of zoo, do they really have it so bad? For instance, they don't have to worry about the price of strawberries or what movie to watch with what snack.
