"Low employment costs are possible in Singapore because
here is no minimum wage system there."

Oh, right. That minimum wage thingy and this annoying preoccupation
with creating an equitable and egalitarian society. Shit! I forgot about
that.

Well given that teachers and the dude working at CU are almost equal now (pay wise), I'd say they have an equally poor society.  Communism to come soon.

But that CU worker can live in a rather decent goshiwon for a reasonable price, unlike the U.S. where a rotten Motel 6 room is well over $100 a night and AirBnB is loaded with people who charge the same, for a shanty of a room, dealing with low class people (that is the unfortunate state of the U.S. now..some more than others)

The dude/dudette at CU works long hours at all different times of the day and night providing a very tangible service. Any capitalist worth his salt should see the value in that.

But, that CU dude is legally required to be provided with NIH for 15 or more working hours in a week (possibly pension and severance as well).

THAT, is good capitalism...when the business, the employee and society benefit.

Wait...am I defending Korea now?  In this case, I guess so.
