Could be the biggest ever to hit the country according to the article.  Everybody ready?

Due to the pandemic, all students and staff at my middle school in Busan are prepared to go online at moment's notice, so I will be able to stay home and teach online. Guessing just about every school in Korea can easily have their students stay home to weather out the storm.  Whats everybody's situation like?

Most of the schools in my area (southern Gyeongsangbukdo) will close their doors to students on Tuesday.
Teachers still have to come in (because who cares if we get decapitated by flying debris, right?)

Unfortunately, our classes aren't cancelled: I'll have to do video lessons.

Everyone in my school is going home in the next 10 mins, the Korean teachers will be doing online classes, but I don't have to do any. I'll just be able to relax at home.

I'm guessing Seoul will see nothing close (unless we get some flood warnings).

The expected precipitation alone will certainly cause havoc here, Seoul too. Jeju could get up to 600mm. The winds will be a cat3*storm when it hits jeju and skirts Jeollanamdo. Busan probably will get hit at cat 1 levels or as a tropical storm.

I wouldn’t be outside tonight unless it was absolutely necessary.

All classes have been moved to the afternoon at my high school. So we'll be cramming in periods 1-6 between 12pm and 5pm. They considered doing it online and teachers coming in, but I guess enough teachers complained that that idea was axed.

It'd be nice if you guys would mention where you're at.

I'm in western Seoul, and there are no plans to change the schedule at my elementary.

I am teaching online from home tomorrow. Anyone have a current link for ebooks (Cheonjae and Daekyo)? Mine are outdated.

I'm in Seoul (middle school). We were told (after fifth period today) that students would be doing online class tomorrow, but all teachers are required to come in. I also have a first-grade free semester class tomorrow, but thankfully had a version of that (and all my regular classes) that can be done online.

Those of us on the east side or middle part and south also got our schools cancelled.  It wasn't that bad yesterday but it was nice to get a "work from home" day.  No online classes.  Just shut it down but they called me last minute.  So, I don't think they could plan anything.

Yeah same! Not so good in Pohang though. A few dead and missing.

My Co said 7 deaths, all from trying to move their cars from an underground parking garage.  Tragic.

I read that the building manager used the building intercom in the early morning hours to tell tenants to move their vehicles before they get damaged. His intentions were good, and the flooding hadn't occurred at that point, but he must feel responsible.
