That's okay, I avoided all his political stuff for a good reason. I'm pretty sure I'd feel differently if I actually understood his arguements. Sometimes being a bit thick on certain subjects is bliss.

He talked a lot of sense regarding bias, echo chambers, looking at both sides of an issue etc. but then he'd ruin it by saying something like 'you made a joke about BTS therefore you must be an overweight, balding rocker who's not down with the kids. ' A poster of contrasts.

Logic only applied when it was convenient for him. His arguments would devolve into fallacies real quick whenever logic or facts didn't support his agendas, and he most certainly had agendas. His goal wasn't really to engage in discussion at all, he usually wanted to kill it, and he didn't care how he went about it.

He got in his own way, and maybe he was coming around to realizing that here and there, but naw, that wasn't gonna go away. Too ingrained.
