If it's a taste thing then sure, everyone is entitled to their preference.
For me, it's eggplant, too rubbery and I can't think of any dish that doesn't taste worse after adding eggplant.

If you're saying peas are "harmful" then nah... I don't buy that.

So far, I've lived a very healthy and active life by ignoring alarmist internet articles like "VEGETABLES YOU DIDN'T KNOW WERE DANGEROUS!" and eating the same foods athletes have been eating for thousands of years.

Never had it. My dad didn't like peas either. My friend's mom would boil frozen peas and put them with salt next to a hunk of meat and mashed potatoes. (I didn't enjoy the bland dishes at his house).

Never had eggplant at home other than two times after college i bought it and had no idea what to do with it and it just sat until spoiled in the fridge (this was before the Internet: now it's quick and easy to find recipes, ideas, tips, etc). I have had a great eggplant pasta dish in a restaurant once.

All this pea hatred must make it a nightmare constructing vegetable bead necklaces. Surely you don't use cloves garlic on your necklaces? That would make you the laughing stock of the Vegetable Jewelry Fest in my part of town believe you me.

That's the spirit, Rye. A life without peas is an empty one, or so they say. Most people have yet to realize it, but peas work really well in fried tacos. Why they haven't made a significant presence yet on hot dogs is beyond me.

1.Our family kitchen had strings of hot peppers and garlic strung about;
2. My dad's Hungarian upbringing probably wanted him to keep the Romanian Transylvanian vamps away!
3. Garlic is a superfood.

Peas are great.... boiled peas to go with your mashed potatoes... peas in a casserole, mushy peas from a can, peas with pie, and inside pie...it never stops.

Please stop. *Horror*.

At least you weren't the poster on this thread (Orkbutt) praising the idea of eating peas on a hot dog.  *Hurl*

Peas are nearly as wonderful and versatile as the chicken.

Equally as bland.

Substitute duck and green onion for chicken and peas and live a little.
 

I'll get my wife to buy a sack of peas in the pod tomorrow, so I can spend my free time on Friday, shelling them.

You lost me at "pizza with pea puree".

I have thoroughly enjoyed a pasta with berries dish. And rice with lemon. And lentils in a tomato walnut sauce.

There are some surprisingly amazing unusual combos.

Aristocrat's gym. Not food, although I did see some yummy dishes there ;)

Price was too high. 100 bucks a month, only to be surrounded by hairy dudes saying I had "chicken legs." One gentleman said "Hey, you loser. Look at this loser. He's such a loser. I bet he can't even bench the bar, the big loser!" I persevered and although it took a while and a lot of grunting, I did in fact bench the bar. I showed him, though the verbal abuse was a bit much.

Another gentleman said, "He's so thin. He's a thin man! He's just a thin man, like a worm! He's too thin to be here!" He wasn't wrong, I was thin. But I wanted to belong. And for 100 bucks a month I should not have to put up with such horrible name calling.
