After school jobs- what's the Good, Bad and Ugly?
« on: February 23, 2022, 12:37:14 am »
They used to be so sought after but don't seem so popular now. Why is that?

20hrs/wk and 3+million doesn't sound so bad.

Anything to be wary of?

I don't know.
But I do know that you started 2 other threads recently, asking advices and opinions. Only to never follow up on those and ignore the efforts of other posters who tried to be helpful.

Off the top of my head: crap students, shitty management, lack of supplies, dodgy payments, was infamous for the double bank book scam.

That's fair. But in my defense....ive been ridiculously busy....endless interviews, 3 jobs, a sick wife and a baby will do that to you.  Has always been my intention to go back and thank those who added their 2 cents

To really make After school programs worthwhile you need a car and lots of privates. That way you can really cash in. The problem with after school jobs. When they offer multiple locations is you are looking into lots of travelling time. If you are not in Seoul that might mean 2 hour commutes daily.

Most of them were decimated by Covet19 Restrictions. I was told point blank not to go to work and wasn't paid for my last month. Luckily I qualified for Unemployment insurance . Which lasted for a whole year. Had to fight for my year end bonus.
