Universities tell stranded international students to prepare for return to campus (in China).

https://www.scmp.com/news/china/politics/article/3155587/universities-tell-stranded-overseas-students-prepare-return?module=lead_hero_story&pgtype=homepage

Duke Kunshan University and New York University Shanghai have both sent out emails saying they could be allowed back in time for next semester.

Borders have been closed to most foreigners since March 2020 and no official announcement has been made on reopening to international students.

I still never got any previous warnings to make me muted.  I never got any reason for being muted.  I guess the moderators of this site are just fat loser assholes who do as they feel.  Just because they feel like it or were losing an argument.  Dumbass morons!!!

I used to think that Covid was the greatest threat to humanity but clearly the CCP is. Anyone who goes to China to work now is supporting the most evil regime since Mao and Hitler and they need to re-adjust their moral compass.

Pol Pot, Idi Amin and Saddam Hussein come to mind.

I'm not disagreeing, just your list is a bit of the "Greatest Hits."

I think he's hoping that the reopening of universities in China will result in opportunities for foreign teachers to make more money. Apparently, Korea doesn't pay enough.

Look at the category of this thread.  It is the China board and not the Korean one.  Hence my posting of China related.

Anyways, it means China and many other countries are now beginning to slowly open up.

Folks have been asking when China will open up as many have been stuck outside trying to get back in.

So, for them, it is good news.

It’s only 2 universities…and they’re private schools. NYUS was (the only uni) able to get students in at some point, but that was because they essentially charge US fees and were able to use that as an important excuse to get people in from abroad. DKU on the other hand has not been able to get anyone in as far as I know.

These two schools have no bearing on government policy, at this stage all they’re doing is guessing and trying to drum up enrolment for the upcoming academic year.
