What's next, thought crimes?
were fighting against another team and they were using voice chat.
I HEARD, don't take this is 100% true, this is from memory, but there was an altercation in a parking lot in Busan between a wayg and an ajeossi and the wayg said, "Are you fuc*ing insane?" and the ajeossi sued him for defamation and won.
Free speech doesn't exist in Korea. But this will come to the US and Canada one day if the crazy woke kids get their way. Korea's Constitution has severe limits on personal freedoms. It was put in place by the military dictatorship and is a globalist document. Many other countries from Mexico to South Africa and even many European countries have elements of this where personal freedoms are restricted and can be. Canada also allows some of this nonsense too. Only the US Constitution has the proper protections. It is why the far left wants to cancel it and pack the Supreme Court. The west is done if it happens. Either way, Koreans need to wake up to the need for free speech.

The west is done if it happens. Either way, Koreans need to wake up to the need for free speech. Many young Koreans do complain about it and are leaning more conservative and libertarian. Libel laws very extreme interpretation even when telling the truth, swearing or something else, political candidates can only campaign two weeks before an election and can't criticize their opponents. A President can't even campaign for their parties in mid terms. Criticizing the President here can get you charged. Many Koreans during the last President were talking about the nude painting backside of Stephen Harper and that free speech being allowed. They wanted to know why Korea was being so ridiculous when the last President kept trying to shut people up. The prosecution service has gone after some criticizing this Pres too. The prosecution has a 99 per cent conviction rate (like Japan, China, and elsewhere too). There is a whole list of problems that limit democracy here and have tight controls. The only liberating thing was until recently, most Koreans ignored the rules and didn't follow them as they were too ridiculously strict in some cases. Lately, they are starting to follow them and much more enforcement. Democracy in name only. I remember a pastor giving an opinion from the pulpit on the last election and Korea tried to charge him. Freedom is limited here. Quite ridiculous. If you don't like a pastors opinion or interpretation, just go to another church. So, your whole being sued over a couple of curse words here, as stupid as it is, doesn't surprise me in the least. The woke kids want to bring these types of personal restrictions and more to North America. Fascism is not dead and what they accuse the other side of is actually what they are trying to do.
Just so you know, most organizations rank South Korea higher than the United States in freedom of speech rankings.According to the World Press Freedom Index, South Korea is at 42 while the USA is at 44.https://rsf.org/en/ranking_table
You're REALLY going to have fun in China.
I don't remember any ajossis getting sued for calling Korean women whores or race traitors for dating western men. So, obviously, this is just preferential treatment for some and not others.
