Those three planes in formation look and sound like CGI, but ain't.
I was at two Abbortsford Airshows, a festive display of Canada's best. They compare to your vid.
A friend asked me "Why would you go out of your way to watch planes fly?" I said "If you see it, you believe it." Gravitas.
My dad flew on Lancasters after the war doing patrols over the North Atlantic. I remember at the Shearwater, N.S. Air Show they had a Lancaster and a Spitfire that you could go and check out. You could climb up and look into the cockpit of the Spitfire and actually go inside the Lanc. They flew in formation as the show closed, moving on to another air show. My dad was crying. It was incredible and emotional.
Van Islander, you should read this book. It is a real adventure page turner. Scrappy has stories, man. There's a picture of him presenting VP Nixon with a stainless steel F-104 after receiving some medal or award. I have one too. I've never seen another one. My dad got it helping out the USAF in Baden.
