OMG. I have discovered something about OnNut81. Bear with me................. ....... I know this sounds conspiratorial, but I think I found out why he's been acting so non-professionally.

I sent some tentacles out into my Scotland Yard people and they got in touch with Korean Immigration (this could get me in a LOT of trouble here if immigration knew I was poking around, so I like to keep an arm's length). Turns out Scotland Yard's mole in K-Immigration sent them a photo of OnNut's visa. Pretty juicy, huh?

Well, here it is.



Notice anything strange? He claims to be an English Teacher here, classic E2. But it's not. In reality, he's on an E9. He's THAI.

I just finished watching Homemade Wanderlust's video on food on the AT (those of use who have watched Appalachian Trail videos on YouTube refer to it as the AT) and it seems easier than I expected.  Forget making a fire or bringing a stove.  It's all about rehydrated foods for me! 

Just forget anything you heard about me being on an E9.  It's for your own good.  Ko chai mai?

Great, we're on the same page. That Tesco sign in the background brings back good memories, though.  A real deli section with loads of cold cuts where you can ask for how much you want and have them slice it up.  Also, a salad bar where you could load up a bag and then weigh it for cost.  These are all things I'm here on an E9 to bring to Korea.  You think people would be grateful instead of attacking my integrity*

My good friend and his family just relocated from NZ to Tianjin.  He says to simply learn a few basic phrases to start...that effort will get you in the door and will be appreciated.  After settling in...study up and practice, practice, practice.
