That's the most astonishing thing I've read ever on this site. The concept of supply and demand has been simplified and over explained to you on this site countless times, yet you still can't grasp that it is behind the fact wages haven't increased much in the last ten years. When supply and demand is brought up, you generally accuse the person of being a recruiter, hakwan owner or someone not willing to stand up for themselves. You discard supply and demand outright as the cause for lower wages. You're on the record here doing that countless times. It's long been established that you don't remotely get the concept of supply and demand. Man, you need to stop paying off that monstrous debt you incurred from university. They ripped you off.
Hangook77 is the ghost of this board. Demands a ton of resources, claims he can blow everything up, always gets found out, never comes through.
>send probe>pylon>forge>pylon>cannon, cannon, cannon GGprobes now demand 100 minerals and threaten to move to chinai switch to zerg
If you hate probing, stay out of area 51.
Understand the environment around you. If you can't understand it or refuse to, then I can't help you.
If you wouldn't mind could you then please explain how the abundance of teacher's accepting the 2.1 jobs out there is something other than a meet up of supply and demand?
Yes, that's why the Great Recession put a cork in Korea's industry. There were no other high paying alternatives except for the Middle East with different qualifications. It's why in 2012, 2014, and 2016, when folks asked for a raise and complained I said nothing. But most of those kids left and went home or elsewhere. The last 2 to 3 years and now even more so that China and to a lesser extent Vietnam have risen up to compete. If Korea doesn;t compete with them and their higher wages or at least savings potential, then in the next couple of years Korea will lose teachers. Numbers have already gone down. Supply of teachers too low and demand in Korea still reasonably high. Moms still want English for their kids. Understand the environment around you. If you can't understand it or refuse to, then I can't help you.
Ignorance and not knowing what they are worth. The reality is if lots of other employers are paying 3 to 5 million won a month, then 2.1 million won't attract a whole lot of people long term. It seems you are unable to grasp it. Yet you ask me over and over again. I'd say out of the 5 or so trolls on this site, you get the most offended and triggered if someone points out something better or greater alternatives. Not sure what psychological issue it is. What is it about pointing out alternatives that gets you so triggered and riled up? I mean honstly if you want to work for less, do so. What do I care? But why do you feel the need to troll and argue repeatedly? Is there something wrong? Did I knock you out of your comfort zone or something? I mean honestly, it's not like I ever PMed you telling you to take other jobs? Geeze, get over yourself, mac!
Now, you don't come across as the brightest bulb in the bunch, but even you can't think that by constantly regurgitating the same message you're diverting people away from Korea and as a result are going to drive up your value here. Or do you? I mean it's clear you don't really want to leave.
Any Kitchen Nightmares fans here?
Nice, that couple were legendary. I liked that show along with Hotel Hell more than Hell's Kitchen.
Yeah. Normally when the school calls the parent they have to go in. They tried to keep her daughter after school and make her be in trouble with some punishment. My sister said she did nothing wrong and they left. Her daughter was back at school the next day no matter how much the libtarded teachers didn't like that. They were hoping to shame or scold her or something. But then they went and gave the power to the parents. So their hands are tied. Too bad for them. Boo hoo. If you can't understand it. Then I can't help you. If they didn't try to make her in trouble they wouldn't have kept her after school while calling her mother would they? They lose.
Ah. Good old fashioned misdirection. One of the oldest lies in the book.
I'm confident that if you took all the time and effort you've spent bitching about more money for position requiring an entry level bachelors degree over 15 damn years, you'd have a damn PHD by now and would be earning big bucks at some cushy university gig. I arrived in 2014 and I, like many of us, spent the first year or two blowing money like a fool (no my parents weren't rich, I had expensive hobbies and liked travelling). It took 2yrs and a good woman by my side to get my head straight and think smarter with my money. 2yrs and I consider that long. After 15yrs it's not Korea's fault that you STILL haven't got your financial sh*t together and you studied business?! The reason you keep getting renewed is that you're a predictable element in the education system. There's value in being predictable and there's some value to you, but not so much that you can't be easily replaced if you become anything more than mildly annoying to your school and/or POE. If you're not willing to be at peace with this arrangement then improving your qualifications is the next logical step. With better qualifications, you can demand more money.Without qualifications, you can beg for more money. It is only the most miserable underachievers that find themselves trapped by their inability to accept responsibility for their own poor choices and spend all day criticising/blaming others.
While I agree to a point with the last sentence here, it is harsh. There are a lot of African-Americans in the USA that would beg to differ. The answers to profound problems are never facile, despite our (my) best efforts to make them so.
Her second book is coming out soon. Sounds like a good read."In While Time Remains, Park sounds the alarm for Americans by highlighting the dangerous hypocrisies, mob tactics, and authoritarian tendencies that speak in the name of wokeness and social justice. No one is spared in her eye-opening account, including the elites who claim to care for the poor and working classes but turn their backs on anyone who dares to think independently."https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/While-Time-Remains/Yeonmi-Park/9781668003312
