     Famed North Korean defector Yeonmi Park offered a chilling account of her time at Columbia University, saying that not even North Korea went to the level of brainwashing that she witnessed.
      Like in North Korea, Park said she witnessed example after example of anti-Western sentiment and guilt-tripping. During her orientation, for instance, a staff member scolded her for liking classic literature.
      "Even North Korea is not this nuts,” she added. “North Korea was pretty crazy, but not this crazy.”

Not being able to think critically has real-world consequences on society, noted Park as she recalled her inability to see that leader Kim Jong Un was the fattest man in the country while the people were starving.
      “In North Korea I literally believed that my Dear Leader [Kim Jong-un] was starving,” she said. “He’s the fattest guy – how can anyone believe that? And then somebody showed me a photo and said ‘Look at him, he’s the fattest guy. Other people are all thin.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, why did I not notice that he was fat?’ Because I never learned how to think critically.”
      “That is what is happening in America,” she added. “People see things but they’ve just completely lost the ability to think critically.”
Having seen the worst of humanity in North Korea only to witness brainwashing in the United States, Park admitted to feeling quite bitter and hopeless about it all.
      “You guys have lost common sense to degree that I as a North Korean cannot even comprehend,” she said. “Where are we going from here? There’s no rule of law, no morality, nothing is good or bad anymore, it’s complete chaos. I guess that’s what they want, to destroy every single thing and rebuild into a Communist paradise.”

The next voted in US president will be Republican. The Democratic Party is losing touch. I know Christian liberals from California who have voted democrat their whole lives and are now being targeted for being Christian by the woke.

The woke have to stop before it’s too late. Public parks around my city are filled with woke people living on the benches shooting up every night. It’s a shame you can’t even go to the park anymore.

And while we're at it, let's address this one of your claims:

First you say that they called your sister, then your sister "walked out on them". Not very clear. Did they call her and tell her to come to the school? They kept your niece until your sister came to pick her up?

You say that she was kept after school for "using the wrong pronoun". What was the context? Is this other kid actually transgender? Was your niece speaking directly to the other kid, or speaking about them in the third person?

"She went back to school the next day and the stupid woke teachers could do nothing". This suggests that they had wanted to impose some kind of punishment, but couldn't (for reasons that you don't specify). What was that punishment? In fact, I may be misinterpreting you, but I feel like there's an implication here that they wanted to suspend her, but were too intimidated to do so. Is that the school district's policy? Automatic suspension for use of the wrong pronoun? If not, what are the disciplinary guidelines for use of the wrong pronoun? Does intention matter?

I've looked at the guidelines for transgender and gender nonconforming students published by the Ontario and Alberta boards of education (see below). Neither document contains any mandate about discipline or punishment for students who use the wrong pronouns. So do you think whatever happened was a policy of the school, the school district, or an individual teacher?

Yeah.  Normally when the school calls the parent they have to go in.  They tried to keep her daughter after school and make her be in trouble with some punishment.  My sister said she did nothing wrong and they left.  Her daughter was back at school the next day no matter how much the libtarded teachers didn't like that.  They were hoping to shame or scold her or something.  But then they went and gave the power to the parents.  So their hands are tied.  Too bad for them.  Boo hoo.  If you can't understand it.  Then I can't help you.

If I had an F visa I surely would.  In the meantime, I have told my education office and teachers a raise will need to come if they don't want to start losing teachers the next couple of years.


Market force economics.  If someone else is willing to pay more then most people will eventually leave to go work for the employer willing to pay more.  Doesn't take an Einstein to figure that out.  Of course if that other employer collapses then thats a different matter entirely.

I took business.  Supply and Demand are easy enough concepts though.  When there is a high demand and not enough folks to meet the demand wages and work conditions improve.  If some employers don't meet the required conditions, many or most of the employees leave and go elsewhere because someone else is trying to hire them (with incentives).  A few academies here are getting in on this but also nearby countries are stepping up their competition game too.  Once corona is done we shall see what happens in the next couple of years. 

Ten years ago after the Great Recession there was too much supply of teachers compared to the demand.  So, employers attitudes changed and they started chipping away at perks.  No other country had risen up to challenge yet.  Though many GEPIK and SMOE teachers that were dropped in 2009 and 2010 (and replaced with young attractive North American teachers) went over to China for some easy gigs.  However, the wages were not quite yet at a great point.  I did start hearing around 2012 or 2013 of some larger chain schools like Disney and some others coming close to Korea though you had to still pay your flight and housing.  (Nowadays paid flight and housing is more common there.)  So, Korea was still the best gig in town outside of the Middle East at that time.

That's the most astonishing thing I've read ever on this site.  The concept of supply and demand has been simplified and over explained to you on this site countless times, yet you still can't grasp that it is behind the fact wages haven't increased much in the last ten years.  When supply and demand is brought up, you generally accuse the person of being a recruiter, hakwan owner or someone not willing to stand up for themselves.  You discard supply and demand outright as the cause for lower wages.  You're on the record here doing that countless times.  It's long been established that you don't remotely get the concept of supply and demand. 

Man, you need to stop paying off that monstrous debt you incurred from university.  They ripped you off.
