I've been watching Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Discovery and I am
just wondering how bad it is possible to get. I have never seen such woke,
syrupy, gushy garbage in  all my life.

It is a sad day indeed when Seth MacFarlane can make better Trek than
Star Trek itself.

Picard Season 1 or 2? I really enjoyed the nostalgia of Season 1 with feelgood memories of TNG and Voyager.

Season 2 started off well but it's been trodding along lately.

Have never gotten into any other Star Trek series since Voyager. Though, I have enjoyed the movie franchise reboot.

Agreed. I loved the original series and TNG, the original movies (slow but good) and the flashier reboot. And Voyager. But the others I spent a few minutes and then left. Of course, I haven't given the Picard series a chance. Is it any good? Compare it to the Star Trek uni.

I wasn't sure if to post this here or in the 'Happy' thread.
Harry Bosh is back, but this time, as in the book series, now retired and working as a P.I. It's called 'Bosh: Legacy' and is up on all good sites. Looks like I'll be doing a binge watch this weekend.

* I binge watched the last part of Ozark, last night. Terrific! Sad that the series is finished. There was enough material for it to go for a few more seasons.

Update:
Watched Bosh Legacy episodes 1-4 last night. Just as fans would suspect, nothing short of perfect. It just flows on from the last series...although Titus Welliver looks like he's a couple of Kg heavier  ;D

I also love the visual aspect of 'Bosh'...looking down on the LA lights from the hills, the blueness of the sky, the sky at dusk...makes me want to go there.

The remaining 6 episodes will be aired in pairs over the next 3 Fridays.

Good to know.  I have read most of the Bosch books and really enjoyed the series.  I'll look to see if it's on Amazon.  I'm slowly starting to watch the last season of Ozark.  I takes me about three attempts to watch a full episode because, like the first three seasons, it lulls so often between action.  I don't care about Jonah or Jonas brooding and being rebellious.  Just get the story moving.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is out and the first episode wasn't bad. Actually felt like Trek a bit.

Pretty much this for me as well. To be be absolutely truthful though, being a child of the sixty's, nothing comes close to the original...rose tinted glasses and all  :cheesy:

Yes.

I've recently watched 5 of the 6 episodes of the new Marvel series Moon Knight. A 2nd season will be made. It starts with an interesting mystery (especially if you don't know the premise) and later has a new mystery. Lots of action, very good acting and a decent pace and story development.

Ok, just been waiting for someone to say this. I'll give it a go.

Iíve loved all the Marvel series. Each one is unique with its own style.

For Moon Knight, I had to check that Oscar Isaac wasnít English due to his accent

CoComelon. Just finished season 3. Wasn't quite as good as the first two seasons, but it didn't blunt my excitement for season 4.

8/10

The Staircase

Based on a true story. Had my eyes glued to the screen from the very first second to the last.
Colin Firth is brilliant and the whole cast is top notch.
Tokyo Vice level stuff.

And I just realized that Barry is back with a new season.

Strange New Worlds is great so far. Anson Mount rules.

And for once, all the crew know how to say: "Yes, sir!"

2nd episode was solid.

A lot of people on the right are flipping out over it being 'woke' and I just don't see it. The Jan. 6 picture was a shoehorn, yes but the message about it was one of unity after division. If anything when I watched it, I thought people would be upset that Star Trek was 'both sidesing' the event.

Others whined that they were forcing diversity into it but like 2/3rds of the cast are characters from TOS.

To the anti-woke out there: It's fine. Give it a chance. Don't be like those who see racism everywhere and just see woke everywhere.

The Kids in the Hall released a season just recently. After being cancelled 28 years ago.  Its more of the same and theyve definitely kept up with the changing aspect of comedy. It reminds me a bit of "You need to leave, Tim Robinson".  5 60-year-old candian fellas having a bit of fun. Still very gay.  7/10

Iíve enjoyed Strange New Worlds so far. Good cast with room for character development.

But Riker is the only ďNumber OneĒ.

How can I put this...on legitimate paid platforms or through means of disputed legality?

Don't watch Discovery on a full stomach. This show may also cause
irritability, bowel problems, confusion, constipation, dry mouth,
blurry vision, and problems urinating.

Those were your only symptoms? I had a full-on cardiac episode.
