Hanwoo Rhapsody, a docuseries. I've only seen the first episode--some interesting cultural history mixed in with Korean braggadocio.

I think it was mentioned before but I am enjoying “Mayor of Kingstown” with Jeremy Renner.

I'm a sucker for those aristocratic British period pieces like The Crown and Bridgerton.  Here's another one that belongs in that same genre of upper crust Brit Dramas.

Kurt!! Really excited for OZARK!!!

Has anyone seen the Korean remake of "Criminal Justice" aka "The Night of"?   The Korean remake is called "One Ordinary Day"...and I am about half way done (it's only 8 episodes).  I'm wondering what you think of it...??

Netflix shows I would recommend include:  "You" and "Love"...."Euphoria", and "The Deuce"  (the latter two are very dark)

Season 1 was so good.

Just finished Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown. Damn! Those last 2 episodes! Could see where it was going but still brutal.

My Korean bud and i usually watch a movie friday nights on the projector in his office or his home big screen (his wife takes the kid to the inlaws for weekends), but we've adopted a chatty kathy hagwon teacher (teaches korean, the side dish of hagwons he says, citing english and math as parent preferenced), so....

Keifer Sutherland's 24 season 1 we are a few episodes into. Had never seen it before. Dislike political themes (Star Trek DS9 was the worst) but it has been bearable to HALF watch over chicken and beer and engaging conversations.

For those who know... which seasons of 24 are better than others?
Help others, especially animals. Say what you think, be considerate of others. Appreciate more than deprecate. Teach well, jump on teachable moments. Enjoy Korea as it is, without changing it. Dwell! The first season was the peak. Season 2-5 were pretty good, too. Then it started getting a little stale.

"Reacher" on Amazon Prime.

Refers to the Jack Reacher character by the author Lee Child. Read the first couple in the series. There was a movie starring Tom Cruise but Reacher is supposed to be 6'5" and it disappointed Reacher fans.

I loved this new series. True to the character, fast moving story and great supporting cast. Hope there's a Season 2.

Watched Reacher. Saw the Cruise movies, never tempted to read any of the books. Thought it was OK with some nice twists, but fairly formulaic. I think the actors playing the two boys in the flashbacks were the best actors involved.

Squid Games

Finally, got around to watching to see if it lived up to the hype.

There were some solid episodes but the last few just felt devoid of any story continuation and I just wanted to see who won.

In pure typical Korean drama fashion there was a lot of faffing around with side-plots which eventually led nowhere and only slowed down the pace of the plot.

The last episode was awful and felt they ran out of ideas on how to end it properly.

My Korean bud got angry at me for recommending Reacher: he saw episode 1 and had to binge watch the season. His wife and daughter suffered. He admitted he has a problem. I have to temper advice. (Do i dare suggest True Detective?)
