Me personally, I'm almost sure I would be in jail or seriously ill.  I worked a depressing civil service job interviewing defendants in jail before they went to their pretrial hearing.  I worked from 10pm to 8am Thursday to Sunday. On Monday morning I'd take a nap, eat dinner, Relax....and then once 9pm hit I'd be drunk until I went to bed Thursday morning.  Lots of drinking, driving home.  Got into a lot of fights.  Was just unhappy with myself.  Who'd of thought that moving to a country where drinking is socially accepted and rampant, would get me to cut down.  Obviously it wasn't about the beer, it was about my relationship with myself.  Still I can't believe that was me 9 years ago.  I was literally white trash.  How did I ever accept that as okay?
