How do you get a Korean driver's license replaced?
« on: March 17, 2021, 02:52:25 pm »
I lost my wallet a month or so ago, including my ARC, debit card (canceled) and driver's license. My first concern after canceling the debit card was getting my ARC replaced and that has taken awhile because immi appointments are so hard to come by.

What are you supposed to do when you lose a Korean driver's license? I didn't drive much before losing it, and haven't driven since, but I do occasionally need to drive, e.g. when my husband and I go out and he's drunk a litte alcohol. Is it ever okay to drive without having the actual card in your posession? And what do you need to do to replace the card?

Go to the licensing centre with your passport and ask.

I had mine damaged, and got it replaced (but I had its remains and my ARC).

I had to replace mine 3 months ago. I went to one of the bigger police stations and filled out a form there. Just pay the license and delivery fee and they'll send it to wherever (you/someone needs to sign for it).
