"Former President Donald Trump’s team quietly launched a new social media platform on Thursday, billing it as an alternative to Big Tech sites."https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/01/gettr-trump-social-media-platform-497606https://www.gettr.com/
Whether GETTR will succeed is dubious at best. Their last attempt to replicate his twitter feed, a site called “From The Desk of Donald Trump”, was widely derided as nothing more than a blog, barely received any web traffic, and shut down less than a month later.https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/01/gettr-trump-social-media-platform-497606
Nature abhors a vacuum. Something will emerge if RW content is clamped down on.
This is not true. 99.99% of nature is a vacuum.
Former president Donald Trump and his team declared Wednesday night (local time) that they would soon launch a "media powerhouse" that would help them triumph in their long-running war against Big Tech. But within hours, pranksters found what appeared to be an unreleased test version and posted a picture of a defecating pig to the "donaldjtrump" account.
Why isn't right-wing media reporting the whole "Let's go Brandon" thing? It seems like it would be to their best advantage to do so, right? Also, I'm not certain that "big tech" has any kind of cohesive narrative other than "Let's make some cash!". What kind of narrative would you ascribe to them?[/quotQuote from: Kyndo on October 25, 2021, 10:11:16 amWhy isn't right-wing media reporting the whole "Let's go Brandon" thing? It seems like it would be to their best advantage to do so, right? Also, I'm not certain that "big tech" has any kind of cohesive narrative other than "Let's make some cash!". These are multinational globalist corporations that want to control what people say and think. CNN would not have kamikazed itself during Trump if it were about money. And Let's go Brandon is being used. Trump is selling shirts. But there is only fox in the mainstream. Right wind media is fragmented all over the place with little multinational globalist sponsorship.

Movies are suddenly big-tech?
yeah i'm pretty sure big tech's motivations are just "avoid unprofitable lawsuits" and "get paid"
so hangook why do you think trump got banned from twitter?
They don't like opinion that isn't moving towards the far left or anyone who poses a threat to their ideology. Of course they had to "tolerate" him while President but when they thought he was out the door or close to it, they banned him on the way out for made up excuses which they would have done eventually anyways. Seems cowardly to me.
So if I go onto Twitter, I won't find any political opinion that is not far left?
