I think way back in March I read and translated one of those messages.Since then I haven't read any. If they are too stupid to put them inKorean AND the international language, then %#^% them. I think thesame people that send those messages are the same ones thatare responsible for ordering vaccine. A total pigheaded cluster ^%$@.
Did I inspire this post, lol?I read them up until they stopped being helpful and started being super repetitive. Kept them turned on, though, just in case, but finally realized that I wasn't skimming through them often enough to matter. Also realized that my Emergency app messages weren't coming through like they used to, and that turning off the safety notifications on my phone fixed the issue.
Yeah, that's the attitude that will improve things during a pandemic: Stamping your feet like a child and shouting "F*ck them!"Not having a shred of agency over things and being barely literate in Korean or taking 10 seconds and using google translate...No that's for morons!
Those messages can't be copied though. There are probably a few of us here with the Korean skills to understand the message, but I'd assume most wouldn't be able to understand the original Korean message.
Or, they could make the messages bilingual to make the two million plusforeigners who live in this country feel like the government gives a shitabout them.
They do offer them in English. The translations aren't always the best but they make the effort. You need to download the Emergency Ready app.
All foreigners speak English!
Those messages can't be copied though.
