Netflix new series "full Swing" comes out today I believe.  Fair warning, its about golf. But it was shot in the same way that their other series "Drive to Survive" was done.  Now if you knew nothing about F1 racing, like myself, but still watched it, you know that it was very compelling and interesting. I am a big golf enthusiast, but not so much a watcher.  So im hoping this new series, full swing, has the same effect.  Ive been watching full F1 races for a few years now because of drive to survive.

A day for good recommendations

Heads-up
Season 3, episodes 1 and 2 of 'Wu-tang: An American Saga' is ready for DL on all good torrent sites.
Right up my viewing alley! Never was much of a fan of their music (my kids were into them) but have got to like it over the course of this series. Good story as well.

# Episode 3 is also available as of now.

If you like Survivor, you really should run to the earliest Australian Survivor.

I loathe Big Brother Australia but they nail Survivor.

And psst.... there's a new season now on, a couple of episodes in, the classic Heroes vs. Villains theme, but if you have never seen Australian Survivor, and yet really like Survivor, then do yourself a favor and go back to season 4 or earlier of their now 10th season. It's incredible. It's the best of the lot.

Yeah, Jimskins. I'm sure I started watching this and then for some reason didn't carry on. Been a long and popular series, by the looks of it. Maybe I should have another look.

John Cleese is making a new Fawlty Towers series. I am extremely dubious
as to whether it will be any good because any time I see him these days he
is just an old, cantankerous has-been.

Also, sometimes TV shows are more than the sum of their parts. This happens
rarely, but it is VERY difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate.

Really bad news if true. Fawlty Towers is a classic comedy which has quality over quantity. The Office (British one) being another one where a limited run of episodes makes it a better comedy.

Interview with the Vampire

Watch it, if you are a fan of vampires, Anne Rice novels and/or old New Orleans. Don’t watch it if you are affected by “wokeness”.

Was surprised that the character of Louis was played by the same actor as Grey Worm (Game of Thrones). Lestat, is another character wonderfully played by Sam Reid.

I did enjoy it enough to keep watching through season 1 but as you indicated, very 'woke'...too much at times, with more detail than was needed. Nevertheless, an interesting story especially when the young girl vampire was added into the series.

As for Faulty Towers, it's a bit of a tragedy really. It won't work for a number of reasons, and it could never come close to replicating anything near the original...geez, only 3 of the original crew are still around and they're all 80 to 90 years old. Same with all the classics. Just leave them be.

Got me thinking about remakes of old British classics. The only two I can think of are 'Porridge' and the remake of 'Open All Hours'. The second 'Porridge' was rubbish, and I never really got into 'Still Open All Hours', although it seemed fairly popular judging by the number of seasons it ran for.

'Last King of the Cross'

A new Aussie mini-series set in the 70s and 80s. Set in Kings Cross, Sydney, it tells the story of those who work in the Cross...the crooked cops, gangsters, and all the others in associated businesses and activities...specif ically John Ibrahim, a renowned hardman.
I spent a couple of weeks hanging around up the Cross in 1981. What a place it was back then, depicted beautifully in this series.
Episodes 1 and 2 are out now.

Just a heads-up...

'Snowfall' season 6, episodes 1 and 2 are up on all good torrent sites. It's been a good watch. I wonder how much truth is involved with this series...couldn't just be a good story of gangsters, drugs, and the CIA.

Another one for fans of BBC TV crime shows; 'Beyond Paradise'. The spin-off to 'Death in Paradise (which I haven't seen).
It's a very light but entertaining series about a detective, who has moved back to Devon...his fiancée's home. The main character is played by the son in 'My Family', an actor I had forgotten about but really liked his easy-going style and humour.

I'm going to love this series, mainly because it's fun. Just sit, watch, and enjoy.

Just finished S01E06 of TLOU. It has pretty much got me hooked.

I got turned off The Walking Dead really fast, but this one has quality
about it.

Yep, I said from the beginning that this is my new favorite TV show. Nothing's changed. Only the story of the 2 gay guys didn't quite enthrall me...but looking back, I understand it more.

Yeah, the last of us show has been done fairly well. I'm happy with it as a fan of the first game.

During the winter vacation, I marathoned Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares, and 24 hours to hell and back. And watching him yell at people is hilarious.

Season 2 of the new 'Perry Mason' is up. Been a couple of years since season 1 finished. I'll have to do a quick recap. Do remember that it was very enjoyable though...even more so than the original  :undecided:

Oh yeah, I watched episode 1 of Mel Brookes' new TV series 'History of the World Part 2 last night. I've either lost my sense of humour or it wasn't funny. Not sure which.

Edit: Okay, I did a Perry Mason season 1 recap last night. All is remembered. A good crime/mystery/courtroom drama. Recommended!
