Just finished S01E03 of TLOU. Very moving, even thought it was a love affair
between to gay bears.

Very well done.

Bit hard to read your post. Not sure if you are being facetious or not (I'm leaning toward yes)
Good description though...'two gay bears' lol.

Personally, not impressed at all with episode 3.

The OA.

I enjoyed this. Shame it was canceled after 2 seasons. Had the potential for more than that.

Last of Us episode 3.

Moving, touching, emotional, heartbreaking and only one zombie scene.

If you like these check out: "Vigil". A murder/mystery set in
a British nuclear submarine.

I binge watched it over the weekend. It was very good. Didn't even go into 'why am I watching this', mode'

Savant...started 'Sherwood' then realized that I've already watched it. Again, right up my alley.  Also started 'Slow Horses'. So far pretty funny, in a dark kind of way.

Poker Face

From the director that brought you "Knives Out". A woman with an uncanny ability to tell if someone is lying flees Vegas due to a run-in with a Casino boss. Solves crimes along the way "Columbo-like". Very easy watching with some interesting characters. Only watched the first 2 episodes but makes me want to watch the full season.

Record of Ragnarok
This anime is so ****** dumb. OMG sooo dumb, it's almost cathartic it's so dumb haha. All of humanity's champions are basically notorious and legendary figures from history. I'd put this series in the same realm as Baki and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, only it does cutaways in the middle of these fights for basically some behind-the-scenes drama, which is dumb because we all know we're only here for the fights. Anyway, if you like dumb and exaggerated shit, plop down for this one. I personally do enjoy it. But it's dumb, you've been warned.

Ok, but what I really want to know is, is it dumb?

Also, before I went to imdb to take a quick look, I thought it might be related to Ragnarok X: TNG, which I've been peer pressured by my g6 students into trying, but it really definitely very clearly is not lol.

I watched episode 1 last night and yeah, it is an easy watch. However, I don't know if I'll get through too many more...that main character (Charlie), her voice just does my head in. It's like listening to grinding gravel.

she plays that character well.  essentially the same in everything,  Russian doll, american pie...  others that i dont know but assume...
anyway,  i just finished the first 5 episodes.  I like how they give you the story for the first 15 mins, then show you how the main character fits in to the mix.  Its a fun way to do the double story.  Also the setting and storyline changes for every episode so it didn't get too monotonous for me.  7.7/10 from me.  easy watch.

I got used to her voice by the second episode. The raspiness might be her own voice or a nod to the TV show detectives of the 70s which had their own distinct voice.

You're right. Just watched episode 2 and had settled into her voice halfway through. Glad I did.

“Slow Horses”. MI5 spy drama from Apple Originals about washed-up or disgraced agents in their own “spy” department doing pointless things…until they are not.

Starring Gary Oldman and others. Great watching so far up to episode 3/6. Already a season 2.

I'm on the 2nd season of this. Excellent.

Ah, one series that I seriously recommend is "Foyle's War". I think it went to
about six seasons. Detective chief superintendent Foyle and his war against
crime during WW2.

One of the best detective series ever IMO.

On the theme of British detective series: Line of Duty. Also runs to six series and heard good things about it.

Would love to watch it but don't have the time to binge watch my way through six series.

Line of Duty is pretty good but tails off in the later seasons IMO. Doesn't hold a candle to Morse, Lewis, Endeavour or Foyle, though.

Columbo keeps popping up on the algorithm.
I dunno how it started but it's hard to not click.

10-14 minutes of the show is... satisfying. :)

"The Gold"
I binge watched this British mini-series last night. It's the story of the London Brinks-Mat gold robbery in 1983. Great dramatization, with lots going on in all directions...from the detectives figuring out who, and the robbers doing what they do best. Solid acting with an interesting storyline. Recommended.
