Which is more likely- That there is some concerted effort at mass-sterilization combined with not permitting abortions to reduce the numbers of Latino illegal immigrants (??????) OR That these are sensationalized reports and/or the kind of reports any kind of large organization dispensing health care will get? I mean, how many hospitals get sued for unwanted hysterectomies/vasectomies or whatever by someone looking to make a buck? I'm guessing every major hospital gets a handful of quack claims for each department a year. Heck, it would be more suspicious if there were ZERO claims of any medical malpractice involving reproductive health.

In line with what? What is their goal? Sterilization is done to limit population, which would be in line with FORCED abortions, not denying abortions.

The goal was to punish and deter, in line with the current administration's goals.

There are a *lot* of different reasons why forced sterilizations have taken place. Limiting population is only one of them.
Off the top of my head, some others include:
- Prevent hereditary genetic disorders from being propogated.
- Demographic manipulation: don't like poor people? Racial minorities? Criminals? Sexual minorities? Sterilize them!
- Punishment: back in the bad old days (and to a far lesser extent, currently) sex offenders were sterilized and chemically castrated.
- And finally, the reason that probably applies best to the particular situation described in the comments above, to prevent anchor babies from being conceived.

Leadership hasnt meant much. Look at coronavirus all over Europe and Canada. More and more we're seeing how little of an affect "leadership" has.

Or you know, the story is a crock of shit. Seriously, you have to compare the number of claims, which I think is somewhere between 5 and 20 with the rate of claims at reproductive health practitioners normally.
