Baghdad Cafe ("I'm calling you" is mesmerizing)

It's a long time since I saw that mentioned.  I saw it probably 20 years ago and remember the 'I'm calling you' bit.  About the same time I saw 'The Station Agent' Brilliant!

I suppose you could add the Platoon and 'Adagio for Strings' by Samuel Barber too.  A track that still makes the hair on my hairy back spike up.

Now, my favorite movie-soundtrack combo, a symbiosis of music and drama is "I Want You" (1998), an Australian film featuring Rachel Weisz.

Watch the 6-minute youtube video of the song "I Want You" by Elvis Costello, and if you want more desire and craving after that: then watch the movie! It is two hours of it. Great acting, great script, great directing, atmospheric.

I have only seen it about a dozen times, usually late at night at high volume. Yeah, I'm single. Married folks may be a bit uncomfortable with it.

Sorry to be basic, but Phil Collins really wanted my prepubescent self to go through it.
