My addition would be the most important of the bunch:

http://www.kajawine.kr/shop/list.php?ca_id=6010&sort=&sortodr=&type_color=&it_price=&it_opt4=&it_opt9=&page=3

Place to order wine and liquor.  Have sales on bottles from time to time so it's good to stock up then.  The prices are usually cheaper than the random bottles you'll find in the grocery stores, but can't beat Costco's prices.  However, they have a much larger selection.  I tried to ask questions to get specific bottles but they were not helpful with that. (I got no response).

Last tidbit of information is it seems that it's 3,000 won to ship 1 bottle or ten bottles, so best to order them all in one shot.

How does this work? I thought that only traditional Korean alcohol was allowed to be sold online?

No idea.  I can tell you the way it works is I place an order.  They text me an amount.  I transfer the money.  I get a box with liquor.

When I asked Koreans how to buy liquor they gave me the Korean to search and that's how I found it....

Don't know why it would sound dodgy.  I've never heard a rule like the previous poster stated.  It's certainly less dodgy than me buying from the local bartender.  It works the same as gmarket and others imo.

Maybe, just the way you typed the transaction. I assume you know beforehand of the price.

Fresh local, organic vegetables:

This is a really helpful post, by the way. I never thought about ordering books from Kyobo, and the booze, meat and cheese shops are all new to me.

Oh, yes of course.  They just don't have any kind of commerce solution on their website.  The price is listed, but they just send you an automatic text confirming the order total with shipping.  Actually, one time they sent me the total but didn't charge me shipping and I had actually already sent the transfer including the shipping.  It wasn't a big deal, but happened one time.

Until very recently, you couldn't buy any alcohol online beyond traditional Korean types.

This must be a relatively new site.

it's just weird you have to do a direct bank transfer, rather than paying on your card through the website

basedcowboyshirt, it says, "But delivery is still banned, so customers have to visit the physical stores to pick up their orders." so i still dunno about this website
