Soda: Pops?

Dad: Yes, Soda?
The first thing to say is that this is definitely not pyramid selling, OK?

Do you have any Greek blood?  Every Ari I've known has been of Greek heritage and it's short for Aristotle.  Even if you don't he may be adopted by the Greek clique when he gets to high school.  My high schools always had one.  Good people.

Ah, the many lives of this thread! (And a name for each one!)

Yes, quite a bit actually, but only as of 2013 when the Bucks drafted Antetokoumpo.

The name actually has many origins and I’ll let the kid pick what he wants it to mean when he’s older.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ari_(name)

Alas, Irish is not one of them, but German is, which, despite my name, my ancestry is mostly made up of. I’m rather fond of the French meaning myself, though. My wife thought of the name, “arirang” and all that (middle name is *not* Rang!), and I went along with it largely because it wasn’t “Minsu”. Also, my sister whom I’m close with is named Ariel, so it works as a bit of an homage to her too.

And let’s not forget about Ahri of K/DA fame! He might never live that one down, poor kid.

Seven.

See page 3. C’mon, try to keep up, Marty!

well played. just hope that he doesn't google ari shaffir and turn into... well... anyone remotely similar to ari shaffir. hopefully both (ahri and ari shaffir) will be forgotten by the time he starts googling

It is short of “Angelique” in this case.

There *is* a (short) story behind it that LIC might be willing to share with anyone who asks nicely.
