a child is born without a sex

And anyone who expresses an opinion otherwise is transphobic. Sometimes I can't believe these people are allowed to sit at the adults' table, never mind in the houses of parliament. No one in the party is allowed to dissent from this, and they wonder why they lost the last election so dramatically.

1) I'm not a boomer
2) name calling is puerile, (and boring if it's been done a thousand times before) Surely you don't need me to tell you this.
3) I'm not actually bothered about the trans argument, I'm much more concerned about the closing down of any dissent. If people want to think babies are born without a sex that's fine,  but politicians who could technically be in power in the future saying anyone who disagrees is giving a dog whistle to transphobia (which is a crime in the UK) is frankly a bit scary.
4) I think you're doing young people a disservice assuming they're mostly in favour of this kind of 'woke' nonsense.

The media feeds us small bites of trivial matter, tidbits that don't really concern our lives

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2013/apr/12/news-is-bad-rolf-dobelli

News stories are overwhelmingly about things you cannot influence.

If you don't wish to discuss the topic, please stop posting here and start a new thread elsewhere on how little agency we have or how we're all going to die of pollution.

Articulating why a topic isn't worth focusing on is discussing it.

Yeah, pollution's more relevant, more of a threat, and more able to be acted upon.

I don't agree. I just mentioned how the Tories got a huge majority in the UK recently due (to a certain extent ) of people voting against the views of people like Dawn Butler. How much have Korean people been able to influence the amount of pollution coming across from China?

As for the rest of it, unless you're in favour of  the whole of Waygook being turned over to the discussion of pollution, accept that there will be a range of topics discussed here, some less important than others and some you might be less interested in. Try to refrain from insulting people when they raise them.  Don't want to come over all Demartinoish  here but the world doesn't revolve around you, you know.

Politics isn't worth thinking about.

Because statistically a vote won't change the outcome of a national election.

All your precious time and mental energy will result in zero outcome difference.

Might be something to consider.

Political threads unrelated to Korea are annoying to many, not just me.

(Especially yours.)

And you think it's acceptable to mock someone's immutable characteristics for posting about topics you're not interested in?

I just think that stuff like this turns Labour into a laughing stock pretty much.  What average person in the UK is taking this serioulsy?

Using this exact same logic is an equally valid argument for doing nothing as an individual about global warming. Thank you for backing me up!

As to your first thought: "Articulating why a topic isn't worth focusing on is discussing it.", you are completely wrong.

Strange person you are.........

And children are born with a defined sex in 99.95 - 99.97% of cases. They are male or female. That's it.

I would expand that to 100%, as “intersex” is well defined.

The far left has gone full retard.  Keep pushing and let the backlash commence.  Most people don't like nonsense.

I doubt this bit is true:

No one in the party is allowed to dissent from this

It's just one person.

Ignore.

You obviously don't know how political parties work then. They have a party line on all but the most trivial of issues.
