860 people die every day in Korea. Get over it!
« on: March 01, 2020, 09:54:54 pm »
2019 deaths in Korea = 314,000

http://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/article/article.aspx?aid=3061159

Divide by the number of days(365) = 860

This means 860 people die per day. Every day.  Covid-19 pales in comparison.

STOP WHINING AND WHINGING.  RUNNING HOME TO MOMMY WON'T HELP!

While the Coronavirus is dominating international headlines, a silent killer is contributing to nearly 7 million more deaths a year: air pollution.

http://ritzherald.com/air-pollution-is-far-deadlier-than-the-coronavirus-contributing-to-nearly-7-million-more-deaths-a-year/

South Korea was the most polluted country for PM2.5 among the OECD during 2019.

Yes, good point.  And you don't see hysterical people with bulging
eyes and protruding tongue screaming about it either!

The 'Air Pollution is Far Deadlier Than the Coronavirus' article is irrelevant?

How so?

Incidentally, the Coronavirus decreased air pollution.

Well, we don't only mean you in particular.  Others that see the
need to quit their jobs and go screaming off into the night fit
this category to.

It's not the number of deaths, it's the number of severely ill which will overwhelm the medical infrastructure and THEN the mortality rate might skyrocket.

Duh.

Well, then again, that would actually require being able to actually think about things.

It would be great irony if I snuffed it from this pesky virus thingy.  ;D

At least I wouldn't have to read all the "I told you so"s on this site.

Jeez, why do you still post here then? Why don't you go elsewhere where they will be more worthy of your amazing opinions?  Today, we've had martin the union leader, martin the contract lawyer, martin the life coach, martin the coronavirus expert, martin the doctor and martin the jock.  Quick heads up just for you, from what I've heard there's a job available at Shincheonji in Daegu, they're looking for a new leader with a messiah complex.   :undecided:

Funny how you choose to focus on me and your issues with me, rather than on SPQR's abysmal understanding of this disease and the challenges it poses with a 20% severely ill rate.

You'll actually notice that it was after you directed a barbed comment at Tyler who comes across as amiable, good-natured and self-effacing.  You could learn something from him.   :undecided:

He continues to post here because he can insult someone from behind his keyboard on a regular basis. Doubt if he would try it face to face.
