For part 5, I'm going to skip the story and focus on We're going on a Bear Hunt.  We have the book in our library so I'll start by introducing the story via that, then showing the video clip below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_cBazZpp1g&feature=related

During the second viewing I'll ask the S's to complete the worksheet.  First they must use the word bank to complete the sentences.  Then they must draw a picture that accurately matches the sentence.

This is an unscramble the words worksheet covering most of the vocabulary for topic 4.
I usually use it towards the end of the topic as revision by having a team race to see which team completes the worksheet correctly first.  The checklist for the teacher is included.

I made a little animation you can use for this lesson. It's nothing special, but it might help get your kids' attention:

I hope it's useful to someone ^^

Thanks so much for posting the activities related to Story Time. I have a new nervous co-teacher and so I'm having to lead this very uninteresting lesson. Hopefully, we'll have some success with these activities.

we played Kaboom today and the kids were screaming by the end - lots of fun

Grab an old Pringles can and cover it with paper and the Kaboom picture
Print off the pages (or make your own) and cut them into strips
Divide the class into teams and take turns pulling a strip out of the can
To get a point they must use the word in a sentence i.e. What a big house
If they pull a Kaboom the team loses all of its points

One of my poor kids pulled Kaboom three times in a row and was endlessly teased by his teammates

Video Questions for Lesson 4: Use small dry erase boards (if available) and distribute to teams. Have them answer the questions using the board.

Hey,
I have been singing this song with all my classes at the begining of this lesson.  Despite a general grumble from the boys about singing, all of the students generally participate pretty enthusiastically.  I find that it has a nice calming effect on the kids when they first come into the class all riled up.

After we sing the song, I ask then to find the Adjectives in the song, then we clarify what is an adjective vs noun.

What a Nice Day!

Lesson 5 - Story Time

thanks for the little red riding hood post earlier. I have edited the powerpoint so that the text is the same as the video and I have recorded the audio from the video and put it into the ppt.

The video is great but I can't enlarge it so the the kids at the back won't be able to see it. So I will teach this lesson using the ppt. only.

The activity that I did was I went to google images and did searches of popular adjectives and chose 8 pictures that had a lot of descriptive imagery.  I took those pictures and taped them to the walls throughout the classroom with a blank piece of paper underneath each picture.  I then split the class up into groups and give each group a different colored marker.  I put each group in front of a picture and instruct them to describe what they see in the pictures (like "scary lion" or "huge mountain").  Give each group about 2 minutes then have them rotate to the next picture.  In the end you can collect all of the used to be blank papers and go through each and comment on what everyone had written.  My co-teacher suggested that since each group has their own color you could even make it into a game by awarding points for the most adjectives but thats up to you.

Here's a very standard Intro lesson vocab, key phrases and fill in the blank from the dialog work sheet. I didn't see anything quite like this posted for this lesson yet, so here ya go. A million thanks to the people that have been making these for other lessons, they've come in real handy where I'm at since 5th and 6th graders in Chungnam have to memorize these dialogs for a contest.
