You make 1.5mil per month working 15hrs per week in the TaLK Program, plus all the other benefits and a much longer paid vacation. Moreover, you can literally do this in the same city as this offer.

I know which one I’d rather choose.

I think the clue is in the email.

1.8 for a 6 hr day ain't bad.

I make 1.95 for a 10 hour day and I have to clean the toilets and classrooms. They said if I work hard I'll get a w50,000 pay rise next year, so it's something for me to strive for.

It isn't so bad. The cleaning is another thing to add to my CV (hygiene officer) and the classroom cleaning only takes 5 minutes.

Once I reach the golden 2m mark i'll be laughing all the way to the bank!

Wouldn't worry about it. It's not like the mods actually read all these threads.

And to think that most uni teachers make about 30% more than that to teach only 12 hours a week... and get 4 months a year of paid vacation...

It's a joke.
It's funny because I'm a mod reading this thread.

But seriously, i think the issue was shot-gunning a job-posting thread with negative comments. I doubt that starting a new thread taking apart a job-offer would be censored to the same extent.

In related news, is anybody else having trouble with nested quotes? I can't seem to make a quote of somebody's comment that includes the quotes they're commenting on. I had to include the above nested quotes manually.

I'll agree with that on the day when I set up my own hagwon.
Which won't happen anytime soon because I too am an E-2 slave.
(Although I'm currently gunning for that sweet sweet F visa! ... should prolly be studying right now...)
