Super Bowl LIV
« on: January 31, 2020, 11:59:05 am »
Looking forward to this. Been a 49'ers fan for a long time, great to see them back in the big game. Lovin' the fact they're considered underdogs.

Montana to Rice....those magic words.

49'ers win by a last minute TD.

I'm a Titans fan. Watched the KC game in Dubai and couldn't believe the second half. Titans were in that game but just abandoned the game plan that got them there. KC score big and fast.

Not fussed who wins it, as long as its not a repeat of the shocking Rams/Pats game.

Really would like to see Andy Reid win a Super Bowl, so I guess Chiefs.

That was the most boring game I've ever watched, and I don't mean the most boring Super Bowl. The most boring football game, period. Surely this year's will be better.

I have been a 49ers fan. From Montana's first Superbowl (beating Marino) to the day they forced him out and he had to go to Kansas City (so I followed him there).

The QB to WR magic of this Superbowl will be from last year's MVP Mahomes to one of the Chiefs' speedsters, probably Hill or Hardman or Watkins. Sherman & co can't cover them all and Bosa & co can't get to Mahomey before he scrambles and scores.

Prediction:  47-27 Chiefs over 49ers.

Book it.

(Jimmy G is a nonfactor. All SF TDs will be on the ground.)

That is memory for you.

The first Montana Superbowl I saw was in 1984 over Marino's Dolphins.

I watched and cheered for him ever since.

Well...the 9'ers  got beat by a better team. They looked good for a bit and had their running game moving but the Chiefs were a better team and deserved the win.

DANG!!!!!!!!!!

Mahomes was inaccurate at times but came through in the clutch with 4th quarter TDs.

He looked a lot like Elway.

I am happy that the 40-Kneelers got beat.

I am unhappy about the useless half-time show....

I think Shakira is hot. 43 years old! Think of the average 43 year old North American woman. Not.

True, but she is not North American....

Anyway...the half-time show still sucked....one dimensional form an unsurprising source.

Well, how does Shakira compare to the average 43 year old Columbian woman?

Celebs in general tend to look better.

Co-performer American J-Lo is 50. Almost 51. Beautiful.

I bought the Oral Fixation Tour (2007) DVD in Busan when it was first released and played the live concert about 30-40 times over a decade (great after work when cooking or cleaning or just unwinding, until I moved to my present town and left the ol' DVDs and player behind at my last job along with my big screen TV.

i don't watch american football, but the most talked about thing about this whole spectacle is the half-time show and the half-time adverts, rather than the actual game. am i wrong? do they have this OTT half-time entertainment in other american football games, or just for this one?

LOL well said...but....as my late father once told me:

"Son, it doesn't matter where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home."
