Thank goodness I teach in a country where students are well-disciplined, have self-discipline and if ever they step over the line in terms of behavior, they are sorted out on the spot. As for touching a teacher, especially a lady, unheard of. They wouldn't even consider it an option.

No, been here for over a year now. I told my co-teachers about this thread and they found it unbelievable that 3rd Graders would do such a thing.

That's nuthin'. Here in the tropics I told my 3rd graders that teachers harassed me and they found it unbelievable.

Indeed I do and I visit many schools for evaluation of teachers and they are all the same, well disciplined, so I don't know what you are getting at when you say it's a honeymoon period. Long past that.

Please share with us your experience or anyone you know of that has experienced harassment by students here in Taiwan.  Not hearsay, actual cases, please.
