Lawmakers move to ban Tada's 'taxi business'

thoughts on this? i have absolutely no sympathy for taxi drivers here. rude, always harassing my wife when she gets a taxi alone, constantly try to rip you off, never take you where you wanna go

tada is great, though, and extremely professional

the public have decided they'd rather pay more for tada than get a normal taxi, so why should the govt protect a service people obviously don't want to use?

Terrible, same here in Taiwan, government imposed new regulations on Uber where they cannot charge for a trip, they have to charge by the hour. They have to register with the government too and now they have been out of action for a week already as they seek to register and my guess is the government who are usually ultra efficient are taking their own sweet time.
There is no known medical cure for stupidity!

Never had a problem with taxis in my town....but this doesn't bode well for fair business practices.

No envelopes...they use apple boxes.
