Is that "1 week" as in 7 working days? Or "1 week" as in 5 working days plus 2 weekend days?

9:30-6:30 - how many of those are teaching hours? Is there any deskwarming involved?

Since the teacher will be teaching kindergarten, does this involve lunch with the kids? What about other duties such as toilet, bus etc?

One of the most prestigious hagwons in Korea...probably means you command prestigious tuition and other fees...why are you still offering McHagwon level pay?

Please realise that you can't just sell your hagwon as being top of the range, while you simultaneously offer bottom of the range pay and (possibly) work conditions.

I was going to chime in but it seems folks already beat me to it.

So....what makes your schools SO special?

Can the boss/owner actually lead by example and teach (in English)?
How many actual classes per week?
Do you follow ALL LABOR LAWS?

They pride themselves in having a US curriculum based English programme, but as I have shown before with that supposedly famous GRAPE programme, any new English book/programme when executed poorly in that dumb Korean drilling way (US Army 1950s Audio-linguistic method) has a negative net outcome compared to social methods such as used in primary schools in the States, because the teacher does not differentiate.

Needless to say, it is the many years of experience of your staff that make the difference, not a silly book.

...don't expect a response.

It is obvious, that the schools is NOT looking for those who have an idea of what they are doing, nor do they want someone who is in tune with appropriate salary levels.

RISE is just your bog-standard hagwon chain. they just hire newbie teachers and don't give them any training. i know some people who work for RISE and none are renewing

Interviewer: So, tell us about your prestige, and what differentiates you from other schools, from the point of  view of hiring new        teachers.

RISE KOREA: We are prestigious! We must be prestigious, because we are located right in the middle of Seoul. That means that we are important enough to demand someone who is in Korea right now, and who has an ARC and an active E-2 visa that we can inspect.

Interviewer (yawning): Oh really, that does sound a bit cheap.

RISE KOREA: Oh really? May I check your credentials?

Interviewer: Hey buddy. I ask the questions. Okay, may I ask the director why the salary is only 2.2 million won. Director, hellloooo!

Director (scuttling furiously past as if on her way to a meeting):  Annyeong!

RISE KOREA: The Director can't speak to you. She doesn't-

Interviewer: Hello. Annyeonghassimnikka!

Director: Annyeong. Na neun yeong eo reul mullayeo.

Interviewer: She doesn't speak English AT ALL! And she hasn't answered my question about why the salary is too low. Okay, I'm calling it a day. My next interview is with Scrooge McDuck.
